How Submersible Turbine Pumps Work

Submersible turbine pumps work much like vertical turbine pumps: they’re comprised of multiple stages of impellers and diffuser bowls, with each stage incrementally increasing pressure. The difference is that their motors are close-coupled to the pump, submerged underwater in a water-tight casing. This avoids problems associated with having a longer drive shaft.

Used to lift water from deep wells and underground storage tanks, submersible turbine pumps can be configured to deliver wide performance ranges.

Our submersible turbine stations are engineered and built according to industry best practices, with UL 508A certified control panels and UL QCZJ certified pump stations. They arrive pre-tested and completely ready for installation—decreasing project lead times—increasing system uptime. They also come in multiple configurations, which means that they can be adapted to suit nearly any performance range requirement.

Submersible Turbine Pump with Automatic Filtration

As a single-source pump station manufacturer for over 20 years, we have designed and built hundreds of pump stations utilizing submersible turbine pumps, engineering each station to suit specific application and range requirements. When engineered with automatic filtration, you have a choice of either a coated steel filter or a stainless steel filter.

Heavy Duty Pump & Motor

• Horizontal end-suction centrifugal pump, with mechanical seal, cast iron casing, and precision machined impellers.

Silent Check Valve

• Silent dual-disc check valve with grooved connection prevents reverse flow.

Butterfly Isolation Valves

• Grooved butterfly type with 10 position indicator to isolate the system for winterization/maintenance.

Air Relief Valve

• Continuously acting air relief valve releases entrained air.

Pressure Tank

• 2 gallon diaphragm type pressure tank stabilizes system pressure and prevents pump from short cycling.

Piping & Connections

• Powder coated steel piping provides superior corrosion resistance.

• Grooved connections and fittings for easy disassembly for winterization and maintenance.
